A scheduled meeting of the Public Safety Retirement Board, representing 
Police employees of the City of Peoria, Arizona was convened at 8401 W. 
Monroe Street in open and public session at 4:35 p.m.  

Members Present: 	Mayor Bob Barrett, Chairman
			Richard Scrivens, Member
			Ken Gentry, Member			 
	
Members Absent:		David Block, Member (Excused Absence: Work)
			Barry Goodman (Unexcused)	

Staff Present:  	Jackie Peterson, Labor Relations Manager
			Nancy Fantasia, Human Resources Analyst
			Dee Campbell, Executive Assistant

Others Present:  	Rex G. Elliott
	
Call to the Public:	There being no public present, Chairman Barrett 
called for the first agenda item.

Note:  The order in which items appear in the minutes is not necessarily 
the order in which they were discussed at the meeting.
        
Minutes:

Richard Scrivens moved to approve the minutes of April 25, 2007, as 
presented. Motion was seconded by Ken Gentry and carried unanimously.


NEW BUSINESS:

Application for Accidental Disability Retirement:	 

Nancy Fantasia advised the Board Rex G. Elliott submitted an accidental 
retirement disability application to be effective May 31, 2007.   The 
Local Board-appointed Independent Medical Examiner, Dr. Irwin Shapiro, 
6036 N. 19th Avenue, Ste 206, Phoenix, AZ 85015, examined Rex Elliott 
and submitted recommendations in accordance with PSPRS, A.R.S Section 
38-859.  

Mayor Barrett then called for approval to accept the Application for 
Accidental Disability Retirement. Motion seconded by Richard Scrivens 
and carried unanimously.  Richard Scrivens moved to accept the effective 
date of May 31, 2007.  Motion seconded by Ken Gentry and carried unanimously.


Adjournment:

Being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was 
duly recessed at 4:40 p.m.
